Based on a book "Mala Zaglada" by Anna Janko
Part-animated documentary produced for Polish National Television Channel One (TVP1).
Can trauma travel through genes and affect future generations? The documentary follows a story of a girl named Teresa, now an elderly woman, whose village in Poland has been pacified by the Nazis for alleged collaboration with Polish underground army. The only few remaining survivors were kids and most of them had to live with the trauma subconsciously passing it onto their children. Teresa's daughter, Anna, decides to explore her family's history and try to find the roots of her own fears by looking into the struggles of her ancestors. On the quest to finding the truth, Anna talks to her own daughter Zuzanna and her mother Teresa in order to try and discover how our traumatic experiences affect our children.
